In RING 22’s ongoing effort to create new experiences for our club members and friends, we are planning a special "group" weekend at THE MAGIC CASTLE! The world-famous Magic Castle is a private club in Hollywood, California for magic and magicians.
On Friday, January 10, 2025, those of us who can make it are invited to The Magic Castle for dinner and shows (at your own expense).
On Saturday, January 11, 2025, we will attend a special HOUDINI SÉANCE at The Magic Castle for the first twelve who register (also at your own expense). The Houdini Séance includes dinner and a Medium. It not only replicates historical séances during the 1920s, the spirit of Harry Houdini is guaranteed to appear! Note: If you do not wish to attend the séance you can still attend Friday night's dinner and shows.
Beginning on Monday, January 13, 2025, our own KEITH FIELDS and LADY SARAH will be performing at The Magic Castle along with DREYGON and FERRAN for the entire week (Jan. 13-18, 2025)! Those participating are encouraged to extend their stay and experience all the Castle has to offer!
The séance is limited to twelve people. The other nights can accommodate all who wish to attend and register.
Some are planning on staying at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel which is a couple of blocks from The Magic Castle in downtown Hollywood. It is one of the classic hotels in Hollywood, hosting the very first Academy Awards festivities in 1927!

Here’s a quick update with the very latest RING 22 magic news! Our recent November club meeting (11/19/2024) was extremely successful, with 54 attendees that included representatives from no less than four neighboring clubs (Ann Arbor, Toledo, Flint, and even Windsor, Ontario), as well as participation from our new IBM Territorial Vice President, CHRIS HARPER! Aside from an evening of outstanding magic, RING 22 had the honor of officially announcing our latest magic endeavor - hosting the upcoming and prestigious MICHIGAN MAGIC DAY 2025 Convention (MMD 2025)! The convention will be open to everyone and we’re currently working around the clock to make sure it is an unforgettable “MUST SEE” experience you don’t want to miss! Best of all, we’re offering everything at a very affordable price you simply cannot refuse!

RING 22 would like to extend a super "THANK YOU" to all of our amazing volunteers from RING 22 who performed at Temple Israel's annual Labor Day Picnic. Representing our membership, no less than TEN magicians thrilled audiences of all ages throughout the day - even performing BEFORE and AFTER the event (now that's dedication!). EVERYONE had a blast, and best of all, Temple Israel (located in nearby West Bloomfield) has made a substantial financial contribution to our club, making it possible for us to host more terrific Guest Lectures and other activities in the future! Of course, we'll back next year; remember, ALL members and guests are welcome to perform at this wonderful family event - please keep it in mind for next year. We’ll then take everyone to our annual SWAP MEET of MAGIC - members-only are encouraged to bring in all those magic-related items you’re no longer using to sell or swap with others. We’ll supply the tables at no charge, and all of the profits go to YOU. EVERYONE (including guests!) are welcome to attend and buy some wonderful products at bargain-basement prices (and we’ll literally be in the basement for this portion of the meeting!). This is truly a “deal no one can refuse” - there’ll be plenty of time to look things over as well as session with friends! Don’t miss the surefire craziness of this one - it is sure to be a magical blast!

Volunteer performers (that’s YOU!) can present your magic anywhere (indoors or outdoors), for large and/or small friendly crowds and for any length of time at their beautiful synagogue and facility. Your family members and guests are welcome - EVERYTHING is FREE and FUN for the ENTIRE FAMILY! In addition to magic, there’s food, pony rides, games, music, bounce houses, and a wonderful time. RING 22 will receive a substantial financial donation for our participation and your help will be greatly appreciated! IF YOU CAN HELP, PLEASE CONTACT ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Dave Schneider, the owner/founder of ABC Magic & Entertainment and a professional magician and part of the magic community for over 20 years, has sadly passed away (May 15, 2023). A special two-day event has been scheduled with lectures, workshops, an auction, and a flea market (featuring magicians Keith Fields, Warpo, Alexander Osborn, Keri Kazz, and Bill Flonta).
ALL event proceeds will help support DAVE's family and the heavy financial burdens they now face.
