Triumph in New York

Created by Johnny New York

This routine is definitely a strong “closer” candidate, inspired by (and an extension of) a wonderful Henry Evans routine.   With this version I’ve added a unique presentation and a surprising kicker ending that will leave everyone convinced of your (pseudo) amazing card skills.  Even better, it’s easy to do and your audience will definitely feel good while watching it – you not only compliment the audience, you provide a positive message about magic and end with a memorable visual display.

EFFECT
Using a shuffled deck and in traditional TRIUMPH style, a card is secretly noted.  The performer mixes the cards face-up and face-down (re-enacting the shuffling of a rather uncooperative audience member during a previous performance experience).  Despite the chaotic up/down nature of the deck and relying solely on the power of magic, the cards are spread across the table – all of the cards are face-down with the single exception of the selected card!  Going one step further, the cards are then spread face-up.  Miraculously, the haphazardly shuffled cards are now in perfect A-K order according to each suit!
