Events

Thanks to everyone for an absolutely outstanding club meeting last night (6/20/2023)!  This one ran a little longer than usual - an unexpected outcome that paid off with extended fun! With 44 people attending and at least 20 or so magi hanging ‘round at our afterglow, it was truly another “Magical Tuesday”.  

Special thanks to so many who helped make the things so memorable - Dennis Leung’s great spotlight performance, a terrific coin workshop with original sleights by Tom Mosier, a highly charged and entertaining Children’s Corner of Magic with Gordon Russ, Bill Brang, and Andy Makar, as well as some very strong and entertaining performances by our extremely talented club members and guests!  Where would Clawson be without our monthly Magi-Gathering of minds, body, spirit, and mayhem?  Let’s be sure to “do it again” at our next club meeting on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 (be sure to save the date!).

I don't know if you have heard but I have recently started selling rare and hard to find magic items.  I specialize in unique coin gimmicks and close up apparatus, as well as many hard to find and out of print books.   I currently have over 700 items on my eBay store - more than half of those items are rare and out of print magic books.  I have started purchasing collections and have accumulated quite a bit of rare and hard to find items.  If it's not rare or hard to find. I probably don't have it. 🙂

One of our neighboring clubs, IBM RING 36, has recently informed us that they rescheduled a MAGIC FLEA MARKET, which is now taking place this THURSDAY, MARCH 9, 2023, at 6 PM, at the DAVISON COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT & RECREATION facility, 10183 Lapeer Rd., Davison MI  48423.

RING 36 will be selling magic of all kinds, including vintage mentalism books and manuscripts.  There's sure to be some great deals available, and it's all priced to sell!
